Registration 2022-2023
In-Person Registration Dates

Students New to Whiteside School District can come into the Middle School Office during our Summer Office Hours to pick up a copy or print out the 2022-2023 New Student Registration Packet to fill out. Please drop off at the appropriate School Office once completed. New to Whiteside Students will need a birth certificate and any custody documents on file along with the other documentation.
Online Registration
Online registration is scheduled to begin on June 6, 2022 through June 30, 2022 through the district’s Skyward Family Access. Returning students to Whiteside may register online when it becomes available by signing into their Parent Access. Please contact the District or Middle School Office if you need your password to be reset. Parents who register online will still need to provide proof of residency prior to the start of school.
Residency Verification
All returning students are required to prove residency each school year.
Once you have completed the online registration process you need to bring your proofs of residency to the school to complete the registration process.
Middle School and Elementary School hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
**Please note: The Elementary School is closed for the summer - all residency verification is to be completed at the Middle School**
Acceptable Proofs of Residency
- Current Utility bills (water, gas, electric, phone, trash) or Current Property Tax Statement
- **bills must be from the current month** (2 items required)
- Current Lease or Mortgage (lease must reflect residency for the 22-23 school year)
NOTE: If you live with someone who is the District Resident you BOTH must come into the school to prove residency. Both the District Resident AND the parent registering a student must BOTH bring in acceptable proofs of residency.
Registration Fees
Please note the Whiteside School District's Textbooks and Materials (Registration Fee for the 2022-2023 School year) will be $75.00 per student for Early Childhood, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades and should be paid at Registration or online in July/August. Textbook & Material Fee for students (all grades) who qualify for reduced-price meals per the below application is $25.00. Textbook & Material Fees for those that qualify for Free Lunch per the below application is waived. In addition, there will be a $15.00 technology fee for all students.
3rd Graders have also been charged a recorder fee for Music Class - they will be given the recorder in Music class. All Middle School Band Students will be assessed a $25.00 fee for Band. This fee is not considered an activity fee as it pertains to extra curricular activites and sports.
Fees MUST be paid in full by October 1, 2022*. Fees not paid by the deadline will be charged a $10.00 Late Fee. Fees for students enrolling after the first day of school are due at the time of registration. All fees are subject to change.
*Please Note: Fees must be paid in full prior to Middle School Sports Try-outs.
Students whose parents are unable to afford student fees may receive a waiver of the fees based upon approval of a completed Fee Waiver Application. However, these students are not exempt from charges for lost and damaged books, locks, materials, supplies, and equipment. Applications and additional information for the fee waiver will be available in August.
2022-2023 Free/Reduced Lunch Application
If you believe your child should qualify for the National Free / Reduced Lunch Program, please print out and complete the 2022-2023 Free/Reduced Lunch Application.
NOTE: **A new application must be completed each school year.
**Only one application needs to be completed per family.
You may also obtain a copy of the application from the District Office during their office hours.
School Physical & Immunization Requirements
All students must be up to date with physical and immunizations by the start of school.
Students will NOT be able to attend school until ALL required health information is on file.
Requirements by Grade:
Pre-Kindergarten or Early Childhood Students for the 1st time
- New physical Exam on Illinois form (due by the 1st day of school)
Kindergarten Students
- New physical Exam on Illinois form (due by the 1st day of school)
- Complete Immunization Record (due by the 1st day of school)
- (4) DTaP, (3) Polio, (4) Hib, (3) Hep B, (1) MMR, (1) C. pox, (4) Pneumococcal
- Eye Exam on Illinois form (due by Oct 15)
- Dental Exam on Illinois form (due by May 15)
Second Grade Students
- Dental Exam on Illinois form (due by May 15)
Sixth Grade Students
- New physical Exam on Illinois form (due by the 1st day of school)
- Complete Immunization Record (due by the 1st day of school)
- (1)Tdap, (3) Hep B, (2) MMR, (2) C. Pox, (1) Meningitis (on or after 11th birthday)
- Dental Exam on Illinois form (due by May 15)
Medication at school:
If your child requires medication at school a new Medication Authorization Form must be filled out each school year.
